17 TEMPRANILLO ROSADO, Castillo del Moro, Spain £16.50

This delicious Rosado from Southern Spain is crammed with succulent wild strawberry, raspberry and cranberry fruit. Crisp, well balanced and ideally enjoyable on its on or with food.

 

Red wines

18 VINZELO TINTO, Quinta de Ventozelo, Portugal £16.50

A spicy mid weight red from one of the most beautiful estates in the Douro. Delicious, savoury  red fruits with hints of plums, leather and chocolate lead through to a gentle, satisfying finish

 

19 MALBEC, Serie A, Familia Zuccardi, Argentina £18.50

Argentina's Malbec is a great partner with the steaks that have made Argentina a gastronomic destination. This wine, made from lower yielding grapes, is concentrated and rich yet supple and appealing. Lots of ripe, plumy fruit character with hints of spice and mocha.

 

20 CABERNET SAUVIGNON, Terra Barossa, Australia £20.00

Grown on estate vineyards that stretch back 6 generations, this is a wine with history and real style.  Dense, black fruit overlaid with smoky oak and touches of spice and coffee. Smooth, velvety yet structured on the palate.

 

21 RIOJA CRIANZA, Finca Manzanos, Spain £22.00

Sourced from the family run vineyards close to the winery in Azagra,  this Crianza benefits from 18 months careful storage in oak and in bottle.  The resulting wine is silky soft, mellow and savoury with hints of red berries and dried fruits.

 

22 MONTEPULCIANO D'Abruzzo Zero, Collefrisio, Italy £25.50

This is a rich, deeply savoury, complex version of that old Italian classic. Packed with ample dark, herby black fruits with hints of spice and smoke.

 

23 SHIRAZ, Stella Bella, Australia £28.00

A cooler climate example of Shiraz from Margaret River with spicy, peppery Flavours. Medium bodied, elegant and savoury with concentrated dark fruit  flavours, subtle oak complexity and great length.

 

24 CHATEAU TREYTINS, St Emilion-Montagne, France £29.00

Beautifully ripe, dark berry fruit characterises this wine.  Medium bodied with a soft, supple style and warm, savoury finish.

 

25 CROZES HERMITAGE, "Les Pierelles", Albert Belle, France £31.50

A rich, savoury example from one of the leading lights of the region. Well balanced with dark fruits and subtle spice combined with well integrated wood.
